HAO D. BUI, M.D.
Dr. Bui, pronounced “boo-ee”, grew up in Bakersfield where he attended William Penn Elementary, Greenfield Jr. High and then graduated from South High School. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles of David Geffen School of Medicine in 1999. Furthermore, he spent an additional eight years of general surgery residency, vascular and endovascular fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is boarded in vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Bui returned to Bakersfield to practice in 2007 and founded Kern Vascular Center, with the aspiration to provide quality vascular care to in Kern County. On a more personal note, Dr. Bui loves to travel internationally on medical missions such as Project Vietnam and Hackett Hemwall Foundation Honduras Venous Ulcers.

He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles of David Geffen School of Medicine in 1999. Furthermore, he spent an additional eight years of general surgery residency, vascular and endovascular fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is both boarded in general, vascular and endovascular surgery. He scored above 90th percentile on his boards. Dr. Bui returned to Bakersfield to practice in 2007 and founded Kern Vascular Center, with the aspiration to provide quality vascular care to in Kern County. On a more personal note, Dr. Bui loves to travel internationally on medical missions such as Project Vietnam and Hackett Hemwall Foundation Honduras Venous Ulcers.
Sara Honari, M.D.
Sara Honari completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California and graduated with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. Her education continued at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center where she was awarded Best Intern of the Year during her General Surgery internship. She continued on to her vascular surgery fellowship program at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and made the decision to move to California and join Kern Vascular Center.
TIEN H. NGUYEN, M.D.
Dr. Nguyen grew up in Modesto, California before settling in Bakersfield. Dr. Nguyen graduated from UC San Diego Medical School in 2003. He completed his general surgery residency at UC Irvine, and went on to vascular and endovascular fellowship at Harbor-UCLA. He is both boarded in general, vascular and endovascular surgery.
Allan Capote, M.D.
Dr. Capote grew up in a tiny island in the Philippines called Sibuyan. He obtained his medical degree at the University of the City of Manila, a consistent top medical college in the Philippines. After moving to California, he discovered a special interest in vascular surgery during his time as a general surgery resident and pursued to obtain a vascular surgery fellowship training at the University of California Los Angeles – LA County Hospital (Harbor-UCLA), one of the distinguished vascular surgery programs in California. Dr. Allan Capote is a board-certified vascular surgeon currently practicing in Bakersfield, California as part of the Kern Vascular Center Group. He believes that having been blessed with the unique opportunity to serve others, every patient needs to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Furthermore, he believes that everybody deserves to be treated with no less than the best of his abilities. He also believes that one of the key components in vascular surgical care is to properly educate patients regarding their illness.
